My Biggest Hope…

I recently rewatched the movie The Shawshank Redemption. Look friends, it’s the best movie ever made with the best ending of all-time, “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things…”

I was thinking, “When can I watch this with my boys so that they will truly appreciate it?” I can’t wait for them to experience that movie.

I’ve been dreaming about the impact of Seeds and Water Collective. It’s just a small, slowly building community, mission, and effort right now, but I have big dreams and hopes for the future. During my re-watch of Shawshank, I started narrowing down my hopes for Seeds and Water, trying to define it with one sentence…

I want people to experience Jesus.

That's it. That's my biggest hope.

So many of us have been told about Jesus…

Read about Him…

Been told what He might think about us…

Or what He would do in a particular situation.

Maybe you’ve been told about him in an antagonistic way, shameful way, or sarcastic way. Maybe the person who brought His name up to you did more harm than good. Maybe you looked at the person speaking about Him and thought, “If Jesus is anything like him or her, I’m out. No thanks.”

Seeds and Water exists for people to experience Jesus. I’ve found if we can just get out of the way, and create a culture, a time, a place, or a relationship where people can experience the unfiltered and authentic Spirit of Christ, heavenly hopes become reality.
